THE HERD
Matthew Olson
CEO
A 15 year veteran of the animation and video game industry, Matthew Olson left his Senior Character Artist position at Sony PlayStation to found Nerd Herd Animation. He has worked on projects that range from architectural visualization for NVIDIA’s Iray to hyper-realistic digital humans for virtual reality at PlayStation. While at PlayStation Matthew played a roll in advancing the character art pipeline for real-time art in VR and standard format. Matthew sees story telling as a means to spread joy and bring us all closer together.
Dustin Christopher Boyle
CTO
Dustin is a 3D graphics Designer and Developer who specializes in augmented and virtual reality experiences. He started his career in video game development over ten years ago and for the past few years has focused on research and development for large enterprises such as Sony PlayStation, UCSF and Wells Fargo.
Jewel Syquia Olson
Head Writer
Jewel Syquia Olson has been a graphic artist for over ten years, an art director for over a year, and has owned a freelance company since 2010. An avid reader of popular non-fiction since childhood she has written for projects within her own company as well as poetry, short stories, and fan fiction. Her creativity, imagination, and love of animation make her a perfect fit as Head Writer.
